![]() Rating: - CCIE exam guideThe CCIE Routing and Switching Exam Certification Guide by Wendell Odom is comprehensive, concise and cost effective. The content of the book covers the CCIE 3.0 written exam blueprint in sufficient detail. There is no unnecessary fluff anywhere in the book. We all know that CCIE material is not exactly light reading, but the CCIE Routing and Switching Exam Certification Guide goes into technical details without being tedious. Yes, there are typos but this does not detract from the overall ... Read More Rating: - Just good enoughAlthough I managed to pass the written Routing and Switching CCIE exam using this book, it contains too many typos. If you have enough patience to accept and overcome these errors, the book addresses well the technical aspects necessary for a CCIE certification - at least for written exam. Rating: - Review by Darby WeaverI love this book by Wendell Odom and I just passed the CCIE Written Exam last month as a result of it well that I and I had to read it. Clear and concise. The book is to the point. As a 4x CCIE RS Lab attendee... I can tell you there are a lot of Nuggest that anyone can find extremely helpful for the CCIE Lab itself between these covers. Thanks again Wendell. Sincerely, Darby Weaver Rating: - The errors/typos are maddening...I agree with the previous posts regarding the errors in the book. I spent too much time trying to figure out if a discrepancy was mine or theirs. It's complicated my recertification studying. The errata on the Cisco Press web site are horribly incomplete. It's almost as if the editors only reviewed the MPLS section. I don't have any experience with other study guides (or previous editions of this guide), but I would avoid this book. Rating: - Best Book for CCIE PreparationThis book has all the needed theory for the written exam as well as LAB exam. You may not have to look beyond this book to understand the concepts provided you are an experienced network engineer. |
