![]() Rating: - Make a tapeI'm glad I read the other reviews before I bought it. It was there I learned about the songs that were included. My niece LOVES strawberry shortcake, so I thought this was a great addition to her toy box. I made her a tape with all her strawberry shortcake music, and another one of songs she loves to listen to (not strawberry shortcake). She didn't even see the tapes that were included. If you have someone who adores strawberry shortcake, I'd purchase it, and make your own tapes... it's worth it! Rating: - DisappointedMy 3 year old daughter got this sing along cassette player this year for her birthday in June 2006. She was SO excited when she opened it and the overall appearance is really cute~~ When you turn the product on, it is hard to hear your child's voice over the top of the music if she wants to sing along with the cassette tapes because the volume does not go very loud at all!! The only way to really hear your voice coming out of this machine is if you have no background noise and are singing into it ... That aside, the problem I had with this toy is that after about 8 months of use (which wasn't that much) it seemed to have died out. It wouldn't play any music, just made a horrid noise. I did everything I could to fix it, but no luck. Please take my advice, save your money. Rating: - They must have changed the songsThe Karaoke machine that I bought does not have the "offensive" songs that were mentioned in the other reviews. We find the songs on the tape to fun and my daughter hears them on the radio anyway. There is YMCA, FUNKEYTOWN, Hillary Duff, Skater Boy. This is good music for children. Plus if parents find the songs offensive I think you have the right to put tapes in that you want your children to listen to and hid or dispose of ones that it came with. I bought this machine for her more educational ... Read More Rating: - Whats the problemo?Im not understanding how so many parents are outraged by the songs on the tape. The "Stacy's Mom" song is on the Sunny Delight commercials for Pete's sake! When I hear it, I picture a boy having an innocent crush on Stacy's mom. Im not over thinking it and neither are kids. The kid thinks "Stacy's mom has got it going on" So what?? What are you people thinking about? As for Outkast's "Hey ya" song....that song is virtually everywhere, its even on a few Kids Bop CD's. Do you really think a child knows ... Read More |
