Certification Summary:
For individuals who want to teach Novell certified training courses in their area of expertise—Linux, NetWare or both. Unlike NAIs, CNIs are permitted to teach at Novell Academic Training Partner locations and at commercial Novell Training Services Partners. Initial requirements:
You must hold a current Novell technical certification. You must then complete the CNI application, sign the CNI agreement and meet the didactical requirement.
Acceptable technical certifications include: Novell CLP, Novell Certified Engineer - Enterprise Services, PartnerNet Technical Specialist in Identity Management 3.5, Certified Workload Management Administrator, or Certified Novell ZENworks Administrator.
Didactical requirements include: Novell Instructor Performance Evaluation, CTT+ , MCT, VMWare Certified Trainer, or other 3rd party didactic certification (on case by case basis).
If you already hold a suitable Novell Technial certification, there is no cost to become a NAI. If you must earn a suitable Novell Technical certification, exams are $125. Training is available but not required.
Continuing requirements:
CNIs with 3 or more years program membership are not required to submit annual MTM evaluations to remain active. CNIs who have been expired/reinstated in the last 3 years are require to submit MTM evals each year. MTM is still required for each teach and will be measured for quality purposes.
Continued certification also requires that thd candidate must meet any revised technical requirements of the program as well.
