Certification Summary:
For individuals who administer a voice network and have an understanding of VoIP technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemail solutions. The CCNA Voice certification is a prerequisite for the CCVP certification.
Initial requirements:
You must hold a valid CCNA or CCIE certification. You must then choose either the CCNA Voice enterprise or commercial option.
For the CCNA Voice enterprise option, you must pass the CVOICE exam ($150). The exam has a 75 minute time limit and consists of 60 - 70 questions.
For the CCNA Voice commercial option, you must pass the IIUC exam ($250). The exam has a 90 minute time limit and consists of 60-70 questions.
Training is available but not required.
Continuing requirements:
Certification is valid for three years. To recertify, pass a CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass any 642 - XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
