Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP)

Certification Summary:
For individuals who implement, operate, configure, and troubleshoot converged IP networks. With a CCVP certification, a network professional can help create a telephony solution that is transparent, scalable, and manageable.

Initial requirements:
You must hold a valid CCNA Voice or any CCIE certification. There are two paths to choose from. Each path requires passing 5 exams.

For individuals using Cisco Unified Communications Manager the following path is recommended: Cisco Voice Over IP (CVOICE), Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 1 (CIPT1), Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS), Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 2 (CIPT2) and Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems (TUC).

For individuals using Cisco Unified CallManager the following path is recommended: Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS), Cisco Voice Over IP Exam (CVOICE), Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems (TUC), Cisco IP Telephony for Release 4.x (CIPT 4.x), and Implementing Cisco Voice Gateways and Gatekeepers (GWGK).

Exams are $150 each. Training is available but not required.

Continuing requirements:
Certification is valid for three years. To recertify, pass any 642 exam that is part of the professional level curriculum or any CCIE/CCDE written exam before the certification expiration date.
