Certification Summary:
For entry-level IT Help Desk professionals with at least 9 months experience working in the Help Desk environment.

COBIT  e-learning is available

Initial requirements:
Must have at least 9 months experience in the IT Help Desk industry. Must pass HAD exam ($125). The test takes 75 minutes to complete. It is a 65-question, multiple-choice, computer-based test.

Continuing requirements:
None.

All candidates are strongly advised to review the ‘ HDA Open Standards’ prior to sitting the test. The standards are available to view at the HDI web site.

Offline resources:
Optional training is available through HDI authorized training partners. A list is available on the HDI Web site. Suggested courses include: Essential Skills for the Help Desk Analyst (2 day course which covers 50% of the HDA standards); Tools and Techniques for the Help Desk Analyst (2 day course which covers the other 50% of the HDA standards); HDA Bootcamp (3 day intensive course which covers content of both of the courses above).
