Certification Summary: For individuals who are responsible for the logical and physical design, implementation, maintenance and administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases. Most of the exams for this certification have already retired or will be retired in March 2009.
Initial requirements: Must pass three core exams ($375) and one elective exam ($125). The core exams include one administration, one design exam, and one networking systems exam. The administration exam is exam 70-228: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. The design exam is 70-229: Designing and Implementing Databases with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. The networking systems exam can be either
dxam 70–290: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment OR Exam 70–291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure.
A wide variety of electives will qualify/ Choose from topics such as Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructur, application development exams, and other topics. Many of the elective options have either retired or will be retiring in March 2009.
