For individuals who install, configure and manage a Linux desktop environment. You can leverage your Windows desktop experience to gain in-depth knowledge on tasks a Linux system administrator performs using SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop.
Initial requirements:
You must pass the CLDA exam ($125), which has a 70-minute time limit. Topics covered include installation, using GNOME, using the command line interface, accessing and using system help documents, YaST, RPM, SuSE firewall, NetworkManager, remote access, and configuring printers and queues, among other topics.
Continuing requirements:
From time to time, Novell Training Services may require you to take an exam to keep current on the latest solutions and technologies. These exams are considered a Continuing Certification Requirement (CCR), which keep your skills up-to-date and keep your certification valuable in the marketplace.
