Certification Summary:
For Oracle DBAs. Latest certification is for Oracle 10g.

For Oracle 9i you must then pass: Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals II (#1Z0-032) and Oracle9i Database: Performance Tuning (#1Z1-033).

The tests are all closed book, computer-delivered tests consisting of approximately 60-70 multiple choice questions and last up to 1 1/2 hours. Oracle exams cost $125 each.

You must also complete a hands-on course, either online or in a classroom. A list of qualifying courses is available through this certification's Web site. Prices vary, from about $480 for an online course to $2,500 or more for a classroom course.

Continuing requirements:
Oracle will periodically announce requirements for recertification based on the release of new products and upgrades. You have 6 months after the announcement to recertify.
