For individuals who coordinate management of multiple, related projects directed toward strategic business objectives.

Initial requirements:                                  certification training requirement
You must first meet an educational requirement. You need a minimum of 4 years (6000 hours) of professional project management experience, andIf you have a bachelor's degree, you also need a minumum of 4 years (6000) hours program management experience, or if you have an associates degree or high school diiploma only, at least 7 years (10,500) hours of program management experience. Program management experience means there must be at least 2 overlapping projects that share the common strategic goal of the company.

Next you must submit your application payment and undergo a panel review of your application and qualifications. Then you must pass the PgMP examination ($1800 nonmembers, $1500 members), which includes 150 scored questions and has a 4-hour time limit.

Finally, you must comlete a multi-rater assessement ($500 nonmembers, $400 members), where you and your 12 references will each complete a performance evaluation survey.

Continuing requirements:
You must complete at least 60 professional development units every 3 years and pay a renewal fee ($150 nonmembers, $60 members).
