Certification Summary: For individuals who wish to demonstrate advanced mastery of Red Hat Linux. An RHCA has proven the skills required to plan, design and manage open source infrastructure in large complex environments consisting of many Linux systems across the enterprise.
Initial requirements: You must first hold Red Hat's RHCE certification. Then you must pass 5 endorsement exams ($749 each unless you take the courses then $549 each). The exams are: EX333 Security: Network Services; EX401 Deployment and Systems Management; EX423 Directory Services and Authentication; EX436 Storage Management; and EX442 System Monitoring and Performance Tuning. Exams are from 2-8 hours depending on which one you take.
Continuing requirements:
You must keep your RHCE current. RHCE certification is considered current until after one major released of the Enterprise product i.e. if you have RHCE on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 that it will be valid until the release of Red Hat Entrprise 5.
