CCIE R&S 4.0 Exams Live
Both the CCIE written and lab exams have recently been released in refreshed versions. The costs remain the same, but both exams have new questions covering MPLS and VPN networking. The written exam includes scenario questions and the lab exam has additional troubleshooting questions. Complete objectives for both are available on Cisco's CCIE Web page.
(ISC)2 to Move Exams to VUE
Starting with its Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) designation sometime next year, the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 will be switching from administering its own certification exams to making them available through the VUE testing network. The other (ISC)2 exams will follow over the following 3 years.
Citrix Retiring Metaframe XP, Access Certifications
Citrix has announced that the CCEA and CCIA certifications for MetaFrame XP and Access Suite 3.0 will expire on June 30, 2010. After that holders of those designations will no longer be eligible for the shortened update paths to the newer Citrix virtualization certifications. Brocade BCFP Exam to be Updated
Brocade will retire its current Brocade Certified Fabric Professional (BCFP) exam on December 13, 2009, and replace it with a new one on January 29, 2010, to start off the new year. Objectives for the new exam are not yet available.
New Teradata Exams Rolling Out
Teradata 12 exams will be fully available through Prometric testing centers by the end of December, many before then. A nice collection of preparation links and information is available on the Teradata website.
TIBCO SOA Exam Released
TIBCO's new ActiveMatrix Service Oriented Architecture exam was released on November 1 and replaces the existing TB0-019 TIBCO Service Oriented Architect exam. A few sample questions are available online.
