Nortel Certified Design Specialist (NCDS)

For individuals who can apply an entry level of technical proficiency required to plan, design and/or engineer a solution in support of a customer's business requirements using Nortel Networks products.

Nortel Certified Support Specialist (NCSS)
Skill Level: Basic       Status: Active
For individuals who can apply an entry level of technical proficiency required to install and configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot a Nortel Networks solution/product. You should also be able to write and debug applications for a Nortel Networks solution.

Nortel Certified Technology Specialist (NCTS)
Skill Level: Basic       Status: Active
For individuals who have the entry level proficiency required to identify communication solutions, understand implementation considerations, and engineer or support various technology aspects of a converged network solution in support of a customer's business requirements. Individual Certification descriptions indicate which specific topics are covered. Technology Specialist designations address a broad range of foundational knowledge and skill sets.

Nortel Certified Design Expert (NCDE)

For individuals who can apply an intermediate to advanced level of technical proficiency required to plan, design and/or engineer a solution using multiple Nortel Networks products. It builds upon the specialist level competencies and focuses on advanced solution engineering and may involve multiple products and internetworking functionalities.

Nortel Certified Support Expert (NCSE)

For individuals who can apply an intermediate to advanced level of technical proficiency required to configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot complex Nortel Networks solutions/products. It builds upon the specialist level competencies and focuses on advanced solution support, which may involve multiple products and internetworking functionalities.

Nortel Certified Technology Expert (NCTE)
Skill Level: Intermediate       Status: Active
For individuals who can apply an intermediate to advanced level of technical proficiency required to plan, design, engineer or support a converged network solution. It builds upon the Technology Specialist level competencies.

Nortel Certified Architect (NCA)
Skill Level: Advanced       Status: Active
For individuals who represent a highly advanced level of technical design and analytical expertise for complex Nortel Networks solutions. This achievement is recognized throughout the industry and regarded a symbol of excellence. NCAs are typically Senior Networking Consultants, Network Architects, Design Engineers, Senior System Engineers, Consulting Engineers, Sales Engineers, Senior Sales Engineers and Consulting Sales Engineers. This is Nortel's highest level of certification.
