Schaumburg, Ill. (26 February 2020) — ISACA's Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification was recognized as the Best Professional Certification Program Tuesday in the SC Awards at RSA Conference 2020.

This is the second time in three years CISM has been designated as Best Professional Certification Program by SC Media. The SC Awards' Professional Awards recognizes leading industry groups and academic institutions that provide continuous learning for information security practitioners and their colleagues. Winners were decided by SC Media's editorial team with the assistance of the SC Awards co-chairs. ISACA's Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification was among the finalists for the award.
CISM provides professionals with a credential that allows them to transition from security technologist roles to management roles in enterprise information security. As information security has become an enterprise-wide imperative, CISM addresses the need for security practitioners to develop the management skills needed to connect IT security programs with executive leadership. CISM (established in 2002) surpassed 50,000 all-time certification-holders within the past year.
Last year, ISACA was recognized as one of the "Most Important Industry Organizations of the Last 30 Years" by SC Media.
