Alexandria, Va. (Nov. 27, 2023) – ISC2, the world’s leading nonprofit member organization for cybersecurity professionals, today announced that its board of directors have elected board officers for 2024. They are:
Chair – Dan Houser, ISSAP, ISSMP, CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, CC (United States)
Vice Chair – Lisa Young, CISSP (United States)
Secretary – Laurie-Anne Bourdain, CISSP (Belgium)
Treasurer – Rachel Guinto, CISSP (Canada)
As with previous incumbents, the new officers will provide ISC2 with strategic guidance, governance and oversight.
“Congratulations to our new officers, and new and returning board members,” says ISC2 CEO Clar Rosso, CC. “Dan, Lisa, Rachel and Laurie-Anne are experienced cybersecurity professionals and board members, and we welcome such a strong group of officers to lead our board and help us achieve our strategic goals. I look forward to continuing our work together.”
Rosso continues, “I would like to extend my warmest appreciation for the outgoing Chair Jill Slay, CISSP, and Vice Chair James Packer, CISSP, CCSP, who have worked tirelessly in their roles to take the association forward. James, who remains a board member, served as nominations committee chair in 2023, and has worked to make that process more transparent and inclusive. Jill is terming out of board service, and on behalf of the association and the board, I wanted to thank her for many years of service to ISC2 and its membership.”
Chair-elect Dan Houser comments, “I am honored to have been chosen to chair this incredible association. As the ISC2 Workforce Study shows, never has our profession been more important, or as pressured by global events. The dedicated work of our association to bring people into the profession, advocate for them and help them develop to meet future challenges, is critical. This is the mission that we will focus on as a group, every day.”
